Former President Donald Trump’s longtime attorney and scapegoat, Michael Cohen, asserted that he is confident that his former client is nearing an indictment and that, if that occurs, he will probably sell sensitive material.
“Donald will face charges. Whether or if he ends up in prison is a completely different matter.
Given that he served as president of the United States, there might be, Cohen said on MSNBC.
“He may end up receiving a very harsh home confinement sentence rather than a prison sentence,” Cohen added.
“Let’s not forget that for four years, he continued to receive classified briefings, and national security-related briefings, even though he is a pretty stupid person and does not recall well.
You would be mistaken to believe that Donald would not sell any of that information for a can of tuna or a bundle of stamps, even though he may have already done so.
Therefore, they would limit him to his home in a very stringent manner for national security reasons.
President Joe Biden’s own classified documents problem and its potential connection to his son Hunter’s business affairs make it more unlikely that Trump would be arrested despite Cohen’s professed belief in this.
