A gun incident occurred on Tuesday in the Binyamin district of Samaria, close to the town of Eli, leaving four Israelis dead and four more injured.

One injured person was taken by ambulance to Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikva.

One person with minor injuries, two others in moderate condition, and two more who were being transferred to the hospital were receiving treatment on the scene.

A gunfight “neutralized” one Palestinian terrorist, while security officers were looking for two others.

M16 assault weapons were used by the terrorists in masks. Knives were discovered inside the abandoned car, but they could have been left in another one.

North of Ramallah and south of Nablus (Shechem), the attack happened at the entrance to a restaurant at a petrol station on Route 60 below the town.

Eli’s residents were told by the authorities to stay put until further notice.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant was scheduled to hold an operational status assessment at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, but it has been claimed that he will address the country that evening. together with Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) Director Ronen Bar, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, and other authorities.

Earlier, Gallant visited IDF troops in the hospital who had been injured in combat in Jenin the day before, admonishing them that “all options are on the table” to fight Palestinian terrorism.

Wherever there is a threat to the lives of our people and our soldiers, I ordered the defense establishment to take proactive and aggressive measures, said Gallant.

“In order to protect our ability to act freely, we will take whatever necessary action and travel wherever. The possibilities are endless,” he said.

After a fatal gunfight broke out during an IDF counterterror operation in the city on Monday morning, Israeli helicopter gunships attacked targets in the Jenin region.

Eight soldiers were injured when a roadside bomb exploded next to an armored vehicle as Israeli forces were leaving the city with two wanted individuals in custody.

The military was able to rescue the injured thanks to the Israeli attack, which was the first in Judea and Samaria since the Second Intifada in the early 2000s. To eliminate Palestinian terrorist organizations in northern Samaria, there are growing calls within the administration for a massive attack.
