Rashida Tlaib, a Palestinian-American congresswoman, has demanded that the US stop funding Israel in the aftermath of the terrorist assaults by Hamas against Israel.
Tlaib (D-MI) asserted that the major Hamas terror attack on Israel on Saturday, which left more than 1200 Israelis dead, was a result of U.S. military assistance to that country.
Hamas’ actions, according to Tlaib, are “resistance” to Israeli “apartheid.” According to Tlaib, “the path to that future must include lifting the blockade, ending the occupation, and dismantling the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance.”
“This heartbreaking cycle of violence will continue as long as our country provides billions in unconditional funding to support the apartheid government,” she continued.
A Fox News reporter chose to test Tlaib to see whether she still did not denounce Hamas’s activities against defenseless civilians, women, and children as more horrible and graphic facts of the genocide actions of Hamas became obvious.
Tlaib confronted her with the information more than seven times, yet she would not utter a single word in opposition to Hamas’s conduct.
Israeli ambassador to the US Michael Herzog, in a passionate post on X, formerly known as Twitter, directly addressed Tlaib.
How much more blood must be shed before you get over your prejudice and categorically denounce Hamas, a group that the US has recognized as a terrorist organization? Herzog wrote.
“Hundreds of innocent Israeli citizens were brutally murdered on a holy day. Babies were seized from their mothers’ arms and transported to Gaza. A Holocaust survivor was being held captive, and an 85-year-old woman was in a wheelchair. Is that not sufficient, Rashida Tlaib?”
