According to authorities, a French man named Remi Lucidi is believed to have perished after falling to his death from a high-rise apartment building in Hong Kong last week.
A 30-year-old man’s body was reportedly discovered on a patio in the posh Mid-Levels neighborhood of the city.
The Police stated they believed him to have participated in extreme sports without naming him.
Following their initial inquiry, the police concluded that he had apparently fallen from a rooftop. No suicide note was found at the scene, they said. They stated that an autopsy would be required to confirm the cause of his demise.
The South China Morning Post and other local media outlets identified the man as Lucidi, 30.
According to an unnamed source quoted by The Post, he was last seen on Thursday night tapping on a penthouse window on the 68th floor of a residential structure.
His identification has not been confirmed by The Associated Press. On social media, Lucidi went by the handle “Remi Enigma” and most recently shared a picture of Hong Kong’s nighttime skyline with the location identified as Times Square in Causeway Bay a week ago.
It looked like the photo was taken from above. His admirers paid tribute to him on social media.
As he scaled numerous large buildings throughout the world and posted selfies on Instagram, Lucidi included one with the phrase, “Above the clouds.”
