On Tuesday, hundreds of Israelis paid their respects to Elisha Anteman and Harel Masoud, two victims of the day’s terrorist assault by Palestinians in the Binyamin area of Samaria, close to Eli.
On Wednesday, funeral services were held for Ofer Fairman of Eli and Nachman Shmuel Mordoff of Ahiya. 17-year-old Anteman, a seminary student in Eli’s 12th grade, was buried there.
Masoud, age 21, had recently finished his enlistment.
He was buried in the Nahal Sorek community of Moshav Yesodot. Yael Masoud paid tribute to her son Harel by saying, “Our precious Haralush [“small Harel”]. I find it incomprehensible that you are not present with us. How is it possible to refer to you in the past tense? You have just recently flowered after being discharged from the army, which was the most restrictive environment. She is leading you to the depths of her country now that you have begun to live, to realize your goal, and to settle the place you loved.
Fairman, who was 63, was buried in Eli.
He was described as “a man above and beyond, full of light and goodness” by those who knew him.

His seven siblings and parents survive him.
Mordoff was “a smiling boy, energetic, and loved by all his friends,” his relatives recalled during the burial. He was always engaged in matters of the sacred, lending a hand to others, grinning, and supporting the helpless.
Four Israelis were murdered and four others were injured when two masked Palestinian terrorists opened fire on patrons of a restaurant at a service station close to the town of Eli, in the Binyamin district north of Jerusalem.
One of the terrorists was killed when Eli security guard Morel Nikkel retaliated by firing.
A gunfight with security personnel in the city of Tubas a few hours later resulted in the death of the second. Muhannad Shehadeh and Khaled Mustafa Sabah, two terrorists, have been identified as members of Hamas.
Although their families are anticipated to submit a court appeal, the Israel Defense Forces have started measuring and mapping out their homes in preparation for demolition.
On Wednesday, Eli’s plan for over 1,000 additional homes was approved by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich. Netanyahu stated, “Our response to terrorism is to strike at it vigorously and build up our country.
