Google pay releases new payment app

Google pay has released a new payment app and is sunsetting it’s old one. The new app will introduce many new features like the ability to make contactless payments, after linking a credit or debit card in the app, send and receive money from family and friends, Order food from participating restaurants and Participate in promotions that provide opportunities to earn scratch cards and other rewards when you use Google Pay.

You will also be able to pay for street and gas at the pump. Pay for parking in the app by entering the parking zone and license plate number and pay for gas by entering the pump number at participating gas stations. Also included is the option to order food from participating restaurants.

The app also gives rewards for select online and in store purchases. Some of the current promotions going on right now include a $10 referral bonus, $30 cashback on Walmart+, 10 percent cashback at Adidas and Gap when you pay online and 2.5 percent cashback at Banana Republic when you pay in store.

Another helpful feature is the ability to link your bank accounts and get a detailed overview of your purchases and balance. Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo, Bank Of America and many more are supported in app, Unfortunately the ability to link a Capital One bank account is not currently available.
