Google has announced its plans to sunset it’s mobile shopping app for both iOS and Android users. As of late May 2021 the app will cease to exist, however users will still be able to access their data via the Google app or online which will continue to function as normal.
The app allowed users to find items easily across the web, cultivated from thousands of retailers across the web. A Google spokesperson told 9to5Google that “Within the next few weeks, we’ll no longer be supporting the Shopping app. All of the functionality the app offered users is available on the Shopping tab. We’ll continue building features within the Shopping tab and other Google surfaces, including the Google app, that make it easy for people to discover and shop for the products they love.”
