On Tuesday, June 6, the three most prominent chasidic organizations in Israel—Gur, Belz, and Vizhnitz—are scheduled to have weddings, albeit the Vizhnitz celebration will take place in the US.
The grandson of the Rebbe, a daughter of his son-in-law Rabbi Chaim Yehoshua Schorr, will marry the son of Rabbi Menashe Bergman, drawing thousands of chasidim from all across Israel to the Gur headquarters in Jerusalem.
At 4:10 PM, the chupa is scheduled to begin on Yirmiyahu Street in Jerusalem.
The grandson of the Rebbe, Rabbi Aharon Mordechai Rokach, will wed the daughter of Rabbi Aharon Bryef, the Rosh Kollel of Belz in Ashdod, less than 500 meters away, and the Belz chasidim will also be rejoicing.
At 5:30 PM, the Kabalas Panim will take place at the Belz Beis Midrash, and the wedding will occur in southern Jerusalem’s Arena stadium.
The wedding, which takes place a few weeks after the Rebbe recovered from illness, is expected to draw thousands of chasidim from Israel and abroad. The wedding is anticipated to be the biggest the chasidic community has ever hosted.
The wedding of the granddaughter of the Skver and Vizhnitz rebbes, who will wed the son of Rabbi Avraham Moshe Grois, the Av Beis Din of Kerestir, will be celebrated in Skver by the Vizhnitz chasidic community.
Thousands of chasidim are anticipated to attend the wedding on Tuesday at New Square.
