A United Hatzala medic has earned praise after he successfully resuscitated a chareidi 2-year-old toddler Tuesday morning after she had suffocated on lace from her hoodie.

Shlomo Rothschild, a United Hatzalah EMT gave CPR to the child who was found unconscious in the courtyard of a Kiryat Gat child care center.

“I gave her CPR and miraculously her pulse returned. She was transferred in serious but stable condition to the Barzilai hospital in Ashkelon,” Rothschild said.

“I continued advanced CPR including chest compressions and assisted respiration and after the pulse returned we transferred her to a Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) in stable condition,” Rothschild added.

Sources said the incident occurred after 10 in the morning.
