BDE: Beit El resident and IDF soldier Sergeant-Major David Yehuda Yitzchak, 23, was killed in combat on Tuesday night while participating in the closing stages of the Bayit V’Gan operation in Jenin.
Yitzchak, an Egoz commando squad member, is survived by his parents and six siblings.
Yitzchak was admitted to the hospital in critical condition for medical care, but the hospital declared him dead.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit reported that “this evening (Tuesday), a non-commissioned officer in combat service was killed by live fire during the operation against terrorist infrastructure in the Jenin Camp.”
“I have informed his relatives.
The IDF offers the family its sincere sympathies and pledges to support them going forward. ”
On June 5, 2023, at 16:30, Yitzchak will be laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl.
The family has asked that no media cover the funeral, according to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit.
“The citizens of Beit El grieve the death of David Yehuda Yitzhak Hy’d (may G-d revenge his blood), killed in action during the IDF operation in Jenin,” said Shai Alon, the leader of the Beit El Local Council.
David was the eldest son of Moshe and Emunah, the brother of six siblings, and a combatant in the Egoz commando organization. Our thoughts are with his family at this awful time because, as it says in Devarim 32, “He will avenge the blood of His servants, exact vengeance on His enemies, and appease His land [and] His people.”
David Yitzchak’s friend Y paid tribute to him, saying, “He brought me up and taught me.
He was a terrific soldier, a hero in Israel, and he had an amazing disposition. He taught me that we must remain united despite anything. No matter what, he believed, we are all brothers.
His generosity was exceptional; whatever he did was done wholeheartedly and insincerously.
