
Miami-Dade Police Department has identified Leon Oliwkowicz and Christina Beatriz Elvira among (Ruth Oliwkowicz) among the victims of the collapsed Champlain Towers South building in Surfside, Florida. Police say that their bodies were recovered on Shabbos, but the announcement of their death was published on Sunday.

Leon, 79, and his wife Ruth, 74, who are originally from Venezuela, lived in apartment 704, where they went missing after part of the Champlain Towers south building collapsed.
According to the Surfside Mayor, Charles W. Burkett, 150 people are still unaccounted for. Emergency services continue to search the rubble with hope to recover all the missing people alive.
