Here’s Why Apple Is Likely To Pull The Plug On iPhone 12 Mini

With umpteen rumors regarding the discontinuation of the iPhone 12 Mini making their rounds, it is quite possible that the Cupertino-based tech giant may in fact stop producing the tiny phone.

First things first, the global tech giant is reportedly stopping production of the iPhone 12 mini as the device severely underperformed economically, despite being a compact, 5G-ready model.

According to analytical agency TrendForce, “Apple is expected to focus on driving sales of the three non-mini models in the iPhone 12s series in view of the fact that the iPhone 12 mini (which reached End-of-Life ahead of time in 2021) suffered disappointing sales performances compared to other models in the iPhone 12 family.”

The size of the phone being the major point of unpopularity, it just might be the case that demand for this type of phone is not as great as expected. And as it stands, audiences who are looking for a compact phone, choose to buy the iPhone SE, which is a considerably cheaper alternative.

As of now, the iPhone 12 mini remains listed on the Apple website and is expected to be available till existing stocks last.
