Olena Zelenska, the first lady of Ukraine, had breakfast with Michal Herzog, the wife of Israeli President Isaac Herzog, on Monday at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem.
Israel is bringing humanitarian supplies to the Ukrainian people, who were suffering as a result of the Russian invasion at the time of the visit. Israel has also hosted refugees and given injured people medical care.
Zelenska will visit Safra Children’s Hospital at Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan later on Monday.
She will then move on to a formal conversation with top leaders from Israel’s Foreign Ministry and the European Union, as well as the National Coalition for Trauma and NATAL—The Israel Trauma and Resiliency Center.
To assist Ukrainians in overcoming the trauma brought on by the conflict, Zelenska spearheaded the establishment of the National Program of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in May 2022.
“Mrs. According to the President’s Office, Zelensky’s visit is the result of a year-long collaboration to support therapists in Ukraine who specialize in mental health and trauma care, as well as the friendship Michal Herzog, the president’s wife, and Olena Zelenska, the first lady of Ukraine, have developed in these areas.
