WATCH: Happening now in Kiev airport, Jews aren’t allowed to enter the country and are being surrounded by guards but anyone else is permitted to enter. Many Jews are unaware of where they will be spending Shabbos.
Hundreds of Jews are being declined entry just because they are Jews, and are being treated like criminals.
With just a few hours till Shabbos, all passports were taken away from all Jews.
Update: Local Askunim are working hard to make sure the remaining Jews stuck in the airport will have where to stay for Shabbos. They are told that they will be let out before Shabbos and will be provided a hotel nearby.
The Israeli embassy in Kiev are working together with the chief rabbi of Ukraine Rabbi Moshe Asman to deliver over 400 meals for people that are stuck in the airport.
