On Tuesday night, an attempt by a gang of Hamas terrorists to cross the Mediterranean Sea and enter Israel was effectively thwarted by Israeli Navy personnel.

The border towns of Zikim and Karmia received an alert during the operation warning of a potential infiltration, raising security fears there.
An airstrike by an IDF fighter jet against a compound from which the terrorists had left in response to the threat further thwarted their attempt to infiltrate the country.
