BDE: IDF soldier Maksym Mulachnov HYD, a 20-year-old lone soldier who emigrated to Israel from Kharkiv six years ago and enlisted in the IDF, has been identified as the victim of Thursday’s ramming incident at the Maccabim junction.

His still-residing parents in Kharkiv were informed of the occurrence. A truck ran over three other soldiers and fled the scene, leaving them injured. One of them, according to the IDF, sustained “serious injuries,” while the other two only received minor injuries.

The IDF declared that the terrorist had been “neutralized.” According to Avi Biton, the head of police central command, who spoke to reporters at the scene of the attack, he was recognized as a 41-year-old Palestinian from the West Bank who had a work visa for Israel.

Maksym Molchanov’s father, Yevgeny Molchanov, was quoted by Ynet as saying that his son was pleased with his time spent serving in the IDF. “My son always valued the truth.

He was constantly the first to offer assistance. He gave bone marrow to a child in Germany a year ago. He was incredibly happy to be a part of a fighting unit rather than merely the army. He was really unique—a kind man who was always welcoming to all.

The local Chabad emissaries, Rabbi Moshe and Miriam Moskowitz, were tasked with telling the parents. According to Rebbetzin Moskowitz, she was asked to visit the Molchanov family to inform them of the death of a local Jew because her husband was heavily involved in planning the burial arrangements.

I accompanied the couple to the destination with some medications and a couple from the shul. “Finding the house wasn’t simple. We discovered the address and rapped on the door.

The events that followed their learning of the ramming attack are difficult to imagine. There were challenging times of shock and sobbing. The father and other family members arrived right away. Very difficult. We sobbed beside them.
