Four boaters were treading water in the ocean after their boat capsized when Joey Cabasso and a few other Deal, New Jersey, Jews came to their aid.
The courageous and spectacular rescue was captured on stunning video. Cabasso, who was aboard his yacht Gemini, claimed, “I see the back of the boat going underwater.”
Cabasso declared, “The water is a dangerous place. I’m appreciative that God placed me there.
On Sunday morning, Cabasso heard screams while he was fishing a few miles off the coast of Brielle. While Cabasso assisted each passenger onboard, Captain Christopher Davidson moved the Gemini closer to the passengers of the sinking boat who were drifting nearby. Cabasso claimed to have seen the adjacent boat disappear beneath the water after the passengers had been brought aboard the Gemini safely.
According to him, the sinking just took a few minutes. One account claims that when a man was hauled onto the deck, he was gasping for air and exhausted.
