After claiming that COVID-19 targeted victims based on their ethnicity but spared Jews, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. reiterated on Tuesday that he is a stronger supporter of Israel than President Biden and a champion of the Jewish people.
At a conversation with Dov Hikind, the head of Americans Against Antisemitism, at his Long Island home, the controversial Democratic presidential contender declared, “I have never uttered a single antisemitic word in my life.”
Following the meeting, RFK Jr. paid a visit to the tomb of Rabbi Menache Mendel Schneerson, the founder of the Hasidic movement, in Queens’ Montefiore Cemetery.
Kennedy, who has been charged with being a conspiracy theorist for questioning the effectiveness of vaccines, claimed he was only outlining a National Institutes of Health grant during the discussion. Following in the footsteps of his father, former Attorney General and Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, his uncles, Presidents Harry Truman and Franklin Roosevelt, as well as his parents, he continued to declare that he was a “rock of Gibraltar” for Jews and the Jewish state.
Kennedy criticized progressive Democrats for siding against the Jewish state, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who represents a portion of Queens and the Bronx.
“Progressive Democrats are becoming vocal critics of Israel. That’s woke culture’s worst result, raged Kennedy.
Kennedy claimed that Israel offers Palestinians more liberties than any other country in the Middle East, including access to the legal system. He continued by criticizing Biden for sanctioning the release of $2.7 billion in assets to Iran that had been frozen as a result of sanctions, claiming that the money would be used to develop nuclear weapons.
Israel faces an “existential threat” from Iran, according to Kennedy. Iran is a superpower in the energy sector. It exclusively seeks nuclear energy to develop nuclear weapons.
Hikind claimed that he and other Jewish activists were moved by Kennedy’s sympathy for the Jewish people after the meeting at his Woodmere residence.
“[Robert Kennedy] claimed that the Democrats’ positions on Israel have become absurd. He said, “Robert Kennedy is not anti-Semitic.
