James Baker, Twitter’s general counsel, has been fired by Elon Musk because of his part in the company’s handling of the Hunter Biden laptop affair.
‘In light of concerns about Baker’s possible participation in suppressing information vital to the public dialogue, he was expelled from Twitter today,’ Musk wrote in a tweet on Tuesday to make the announcement.
Baker has a long history of working for the Democratic party. Before joining Twitter, Baker worked for the FBI as general counsel under Director James Comey, where he played a significant part in the controversy surrounding the bureau’s investigation into suspected Russian interference in Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign.
