Israel’s defense minister stated on Friday that the military has no plans to regulate “life in the Gaza Strip” once the nation has destroyed the Hamas terrorist organization.
For the first time, an Israeli official discussed its long-term plans for Gaza in his remarks to parliamentarians as the defense minister, Yoav Gallant. According to Gallant, Israel anticipates the conflict with Hamas to be fought in three stages.
He claimed that it would begin by using airstrikes and ground operations to assault the group in Gaza, then crush little pockets of resistance, and lastly, it would end its “responsibility for life in the Gaza Strip.”
