The deadly COVID-19 remains a huge health problem in Israel.
The Israel Health Ministry on Thursday said 19 people died of COVID-19 in just one day.
The health ministry revealed, for September 529 people in Israel died due to COVID-19.
As of Friday, the health ministry added there are 41 COVID-19 patients connected to heart-lung ECMO machines, the majority of whom were unvaccinated.
Meanwhile, researchers from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem predicted the infection rate of COVID-19 will soon decline.
The researchers also predicted that the number of serious cases would decline within another week or two.
Moreover, the researchers warned that returning to routine in October after the holidays could lead to an increase in infection.
Despite this prediction, they remain optimistic that when the Green Pass is adjusted to only include those who are fully vaccinated (within the last six months or with a booster shot) then the country could and should see a significant reduction in infection.
