Quite possibly the result of closer ties linked to the Abraham records, the Israeli Ministry of Defense has launched the first-ever Israeli national pavilion at the Dubai Airshow.
Opened on Sunday and scheduled to run till Thursday, the expo features Israel’s Elbit Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries, Rafael, Tomer Astronautics, Nir Or, and UVision.

Talking about the airshow, IDF Brig. Gen. (Res.) Yair Kulas, the head of the Defense Ministry’s Directorate for International Defense Cooperation (SIBAT) said: “The opening of an Israeli national pavilion in Dubai is a new and historic component in the strengthening relations between Israel and the UAE. We are thrilled to have an opportunity to participate in this important exhibition and to showcase the advanced technological capabilities of Israel’s defense industries. Within the framework of the exhibition, we plan to hold numerous meetings to discuss new areas of collaboration.”
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said that Israel’s participation in the exhibition “reflects the deepening relations between our countries. Israel’s participation in the airshow will serve as a launch board for further cooperation.”
