A piece of good news to all travelers bound for Israel.
Sources said Israel’s Health Ministry is planning to end the requirement for COVID testing for travelers arriving at Ben-Gurion Airport within weeks.
According to reports, this plan was opposed by some senior officials since 25% of new infections have been diagnosed in Israelis returning from abroad.
The senior officials added that three cases of a new COVID variant were discovered in travelers who arrived at Ben-Gurion last week.
Despite the concerns, the government is steadfast in ending the testing within two or three weeks.
