Israeli Forces Demolish Ramallah Home Of Jerusalem Bomber

According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, the terrorist who carried out the tragic twin bombs in Jerusalem in November had a residence in Ramallah that was destroyed on Thursday.

Israeli forces were attacked during the raid in the de facto administrative center of the Palestinian Authority when locals threw explosives, firebombs, and stones at them. In response, the IDF used live fire and riot dispersal techniques. No injuries were reported, with the military stating that “hits were detected.”

The Palestinian Health Ministry reports that at least six persons have been hurt and are in stable condition; three were hit by live ammunition, and the others by rubber bullets or tear gas.

In the bus-stop attacks on November 23, two Israeli civilians—Tedsha Tashuma, a 50-year-old father of six from Pisgat Ze’ev, and Aryeh Shechopek, a 16-year-old Canadian-Israeli from Jerusalem’s Har Nof neighborhood—were murdered, while more than 20 others were injured.

After an “extensive” investigation, Eslam Froukh, 26, was detained in connection with the attacks on November 29.

Although Froukh identifies with the Islamic State terrorist organization and upholds a Salafist-jihadist ideology, Israeli authorities claim that he planned the attacks independently and over a long period.

It went ahead after the Supreme Court denied a request to halt the demolition.
