Israeli pilots are running low on gasoline and are stranded in Egypt.
According to the Jerusalem Post, the group arrived in Egypt on a light aircraft on Wednesday after obtaining a landing permit in advance.
Due to “national security” concerns, they are currently being denied entrance visas and compelled to return to Israel.
According to one Israeli media account, 11 pilots are being “physically shoved” toward their aircraft.
The issue is that they are running low on fuel and cannot refuel.
They are allegedly being pressed to board alternate planes despite the severe and potentially hazardous weather, according to a second (conflicting) story.
According to a representative for the Israeli Foreign Ministry, efforts are being made to address the issue.
