Ivanka Trump’s Instagram images celebrating her daughter’s bat mitzvah were noticeably lacking one prominent relative—her father, the former US president. Ivanka Trump released pictures from his granddaughter’s weekend party in Miami on Monday, but Donald Trump did not make an appearance.
Ivanka shared a carousel of 10 images from Arabella’s party, but her father wasn’t in any of them.
Ivanka captioned the photo, “Jared and I celebrated our daughter Arabella’s Bat Mitzvah this past weekend with an abundance of love and enormous pride.
We look back on the weekend with hearts full of pleasure and thanksgiving.
The party took place while Trump dealt with a criminal indictment. Ivanka and her husband Jared have also been quite explicit about their distance from the previous president.
Ivanka, her husband, Arabella, her brothers Eric and Donald Jr., half-sister Tiffany, and Vanessa, Donald Jr.’s ex-wife, were all included in a family portrait on the carousel. Barron, Melania, and Donald were noticeably absent, though.
Don Jr.’s fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle, tagged Trump National Doral Miami in the images even though it was unclear where they were shot, hinting the party took place at the former president’s golf club and resort.
Ivanka Trump attempted to corroborate her father’s absence by including pictures of him at the conclusion of her Instagram Stories about the Bas Mitzvah, which were presumably shot a few weeks previously at another celebration.
They were shot at a birthday dinner the former president recently threw at his Mar-a-Lago resort for his granddaughter Arabella, according to the text on one picture.
There is a picture of the president standing next to Arabella after going through nearly 20 of her stories, which vanish after 24 hours.
In advance of Arabella’s Bat Mitzvah, Dad and Melania threw her the greatest birthday dinner in Mar-a-lago a few weeks ago.
“Ivanka wrote as the image’s caption. It was quite unique.
You both have our undying love.” Ivanka said in a statement that she “does not plan to be involved in politics” and that “while I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside of the political arena.”
This came after Donald indicated he will run for president again in 2024.
