If Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is considering running for president in 2024, don’t you dare, said Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump.
According to Lara Trump, who spoke with Sky News, her father-in-statement law’s is slated for 9 p.m. Tuesday will mark what is anticipated to be his official declaration that he will run for president in 2024.
Lara was asked who she believed would prevail in a head-to-head contest between Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis, and she was certain that DeSantis shouldn’t participate until 2028.
“Ron DeSantis, in my opinion, is highly intelligent. He’s a young man, you see. She continued that he is aware that he will have many opportunities to run for president in the future.
Consequently, I believe he is watching to see what my father-in-law does.
I believe he is smart enough to realize that it will be better to have all of this party support — or the America First, MAGA movement, whatever you want to call it — fully behind him in 2028 than it might be to split it in 2024.
Those primaries get extremely messy and very raw, I can assure you of that. That has happened previously.
Therefore, wouldn’t it be nicer for him to wait—and I believe he is aware of this?
While many have questioned whether Donald Trump is to blame for the Republican Party’s underwhelming showing in the midterm elections, the former president has insisted he is not and has continued to attack DeSantis and other Republicans he believes could oppose him for the Republican nomination in 2024.
