A Jewish home was destroyed in a two-alarm fire on Avenue I and East 23rd in Flatbush.
Two victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries by Hatzolah EMTs on the site.
All FDNY staff have been told to leave the building due to the intense fire conditions, effectively dooming it to destruction by the flames.
The firefighters kept an eye on the fire to ensure it didn’t spread to neighboring structures.
Around 10:40 PM, the fire started. What sparked the conflagration is unknown.
Heavy flames covered the entire structure an hour after the fire started.
