An unidentified man punched a South Korean diplomat, 55 at his nose in an unprovoked attack on a Midtown street Wednesday night.
The suspect hurriedly escaped after the attack at the intersection of Fifth Ave. and 35th St. about 8:10 in the evening.
The victim is now undergoing treatment at a local hospital due to a broken nose.
The NYPD is now conducting a deeper investigation on the incident.
