Jewish community and organization members, as well as those from Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund and the Jewish Agency, met with Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich on Tuesday in France.
Smotrich talked about Israel’s relationship with France’s Jewish communities, the difficulties those communities face, and the growth of French immigration to Israel during the talks.
In order to discuss enhancing economic connections and expanding commerce between the two nations, the finance minister also met with investors and businesspeople at the Israel-France Chamber of Commerce.
We discussed import and trade restrictions as well as the struggle against Israel’s high cost of living, he stated.
There is enormous potential, and we shall strive assiduously to accomplish it with God’s assistance.
Smotrich also went to the Paris Hypercasher Kosher store, the scene of a four-death Islamist terror assault in January 2015.
“I came here to strengthen and embrace the Jewish community in Paris,” he declared.
“Our special relationship and duty to every Jew in the world is our uniqueness as a Jewish people and as a sovereign state.”
