This Shabbos afternoon, at about 5:30, a 2-year-old child went missing in Monticello. The family noticed the child was missing in Nachlai Emunah Bungalows section #4. The family was looking for the young child for about 2 hours before reaching out to the Hatzolah, who had a couple of members on premises.

The official search started at 7:00, under the coordination of W119 Yoely Deutsch. At about 7:10, Shomrim was activated to join the search. Shomrim members came to the bungalow colony from various other colonies. The search team gave out grids to all search participants.

The search took a turn for the better when two women walking on the street heard a small child crying in the woods near the casino road. At that moment, Levi Pasternak, a member from the Rockland County Chaverim unit number 112, picked the child up and brought him back safely to the bungalow at 7:40 p.m. The kids responded to his name being called by lifting his hand.

Thanks to Hatzolah, Shomrim, Chaverim, and everyone who helped with the search, whose diligence in searching allowed for this positive outcome, Baruch Hashem.
