Family of 7 that went missing in Harriman State Park while going for a hike Sunday evening, were located by Rockland Chaverim volunteers.

At around 8:30pm, Chaveirim of Rockland received a call about a family of 7 that went missing in Harriman State Park after mistakenly taking the wrong trail.

Chaveirim of Rockland quickly set up their mobile command center and launched a search in the wooded area, sending in multiple trained search and rescue volunteers.

After an intense search, Chaveirim of Rockland has successfully located the family after they were shining flashlights alerting the rescue team to their location and the volunteers were successfully able to extract the family from the woods
