The NYPD filed multiple criminal cases against a 38-year-old man arrested for robbing a Sheepshead Bay shul’s pushka multiple times.
Cases of two counts each of third-degree burglary, fifth-degree criminal possession of the stolen property, and third-degree criminal trespass were filed against Carlos Duckworth who was arrested on Wednesday.
Duckworth was tagged as the primary suspect in the burglary of approximately $600 at the Congregation Israel of Kings Bay on Nostrand Avenue on the night of Nov. 24.
He is also tagged as a suspect in similar incidents in the early mornings of December 2 and December 5, with the burglar stealing from the pushka $750 and $850, respectively.
Duckworth reportedly gained entry to the locked pushka by breaking its window.
It was learned that Duckworth just lives a mile from the shul.
