New York Governor Kathy Hochul is not letting her guards down as far as her reelection bid is concerned.
Hochul recently released a 30-second TV spot showcasing her administration’s cracking down on illegal guns, investing in public schools, and cutting taxes for middle-class families.
“Kathy Hochul: A governor who works as hard as you do,” a narrator says over shots of Hochul sitting alone at her desk in a darkened State Capitol.
Sources said the ad would be the first of many as Hochul faces off against Long Island Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-N.Y.) and City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams in the June 28 Democratic primary.
According to reports, Hochul’s advertisement is part of a “planned eight-figure media buy, the campaign also launched a statewide, multi-channel paid digital effort.”
Based on the data from the tracking service AdImpact, Hochul has now booked $931,000 worth of broadcast and cable television ads through April 25.
