As the army gets ready for what is anticipated to be a ground invasion of the Gaza Strip, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened to destroy Hamas.
Late on Friday, Netanyahu made the threat in a speech that was broadcast nationwide. Since Hamas militants launched an unprecedented cross-border raid last Saturday, murdering more than 1,300 people in a savage spree, Israel has been hammering Gaza with airstrikes.
Israel gave the order to evacuate houses to half of Gaza’s populace early on Friday.
This is merely the beginning, according to Netanyahu. “We will come out of this war more powerful than ever.” He continued, “We will destroy Hamas,” claiming that Israel has broad support from around the world for the operation.
