While most regions in the United States are not too happy with the State of Union Address of President Joe Biden that is not the case in the state of New York.
Politicians serving in New York praised the State of Union Address of Biden.
New York governor Kathy Hochul said Biden’s speech is unifying and makes America even stronger as we recover from the pandemic.
Big Apple mayor Eric Adams for his part said Biden “laid out a clear vision for a better America — one with a stronger economy, safer streets, that invests in health care, that wins the fight against #COVID19 and that defends democracy at home and abroad.”
In a tweet, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, a Brooklyn Democrat thanked Biden for a wonderful speech.
Meanwhile, Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), the Senate minority leader chided Biden for ignoring the pressing issues of the country such as raging inflation, open borders, and crime.
“The President did his best to try to pick himself up and provide some level of optimism, but that’s not what the American people are feeling right now,” McConnell tweeted.
