On Thursday, New York City Mayor Eric Adams revealed that he has a set of “new weapons” in the face of yet another wave of COVID cases descending upon New York City.
In revealing his “new weapons” against COVID-19, Adams also disclosed that he is replacing his administration’s color-coded coronavirus alert system since it is no longer effective against COVID.
“The color-coded system was fighting an old war,” Adams said.
So we’re not going to hold on to something that’s an old weapon merely because we have it. No, we’re going to create new weapons to fight this new war, “Adams added.
Adams did not disclose his supposed “new weapons,” but health experts hinted that these were experts from across the globe.
“Our goal is to make sure that what we put in place is going to stem the infections, keep down hospitalizations, and most importantly, keep down those who are dying,” he said.
