According to Flatbush Shomrim, a young Orthodox male was shot with a BB pistol in Midwood on Monday night.
Around 9:30 p.m., a dark minivan pulled up next to the victim as he was strolling in the parking lot behind Amazing Savings and 7/11 on East 17th Street between Avenues L and M.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was struck in the neck by a BB; although it left a mark, b’chasdei Hashem did not seriously hurt him.
The victim wore a black jacket and hat. Flatbush Shomrim and the NYPD’s Hate Crimes division are looking into the matter.
BB gun rounds can be very harmful depending on the distance and area hit.
The incident occurred just one day after a father and kid were shot at with a BB pistol in front of a kosher store on Staten Island.
Tuesday saw the making of an arrest in that case.
