Using agents from Judea and Samaria controlled by handlers in the Gaza Strip, the domestic intelligence agency Shin Bet revealed on Monday that it had foiled a Palestinian terrorist bomb plan and a separate suicide bombing attempt targeting locations inside Green Line Israel.

A fire extinguisher that concealed a functioning bomb was taken.

The scheme was thwarted on December 14, according to the Shin Bet.

It was also directed by Shuhada Al-Aqsa and the Popular Resistance Committees, both terrorist organizations having bases in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Shin Bet, four alleged Judea and Samaria-based terrorist agents have been detained.

The agency claimed that Ahmad Fathi Hajaj, an expert in explosives who resides in Jabalia in northern Gaza, was the leader of known terrorist operators in the Strip.

The foiling of the plot is “part of an ongoing campaign being carried out by the Shin Bet cooperation with the Israel Defense Force and the Israel Police, to foil terrorism in Israel using a variety of techniques and tools,” the Shin Bet stated.

“Following an operation that lasted several weeks, the security services have apprehended terrorists in Judea and Samaria who were planning to carry out a significant bomb assault in Israel, with assistance from terrorist groups from the Gaza Strip,” Prime Minister Yair Lapid declared.

In all spheres, the fight against terrorists and their cells is ongoing every day. The security personnel is actively repelling all attacks on us.
