On Monday, a man was fatally shot on the Route 90 freeway close to Jericho in what was likely a terrorist attack.
A 25-year-old male who was unconscious and in severe condition was treated at the Beit Ha’arava Junction, according to the Magen David Adom emergency medical service.
He was taken to Jerusalem’s Hadassah Medical Center on Mount Scopus, eventually dying.
Eilon Lubiner, a volunteer EMT for United Hatzalah, said: “We did CPR on a man in his 20s who had bullet wounds to his upper body along with other first responders.
He is being transported to the Hadassah Har HaZofim hospital while undergoing ongoing resuscitation procedures.
The Israel Defense Forces announced that it had learned of the shooting and that more information would be forthcoming.
An early report indicated that another shooting had occurred at the Almog Junction, a little to the north, presumably by the same attacker or attackers.
