In Philadelphia, a significant automobile fire under an elevated segment of Interstate 95 resulted in the collapse of a sizable chunk of the roadway, shutting it in both directions.
In northeast Philadelphia, a huge slab that covered a piece of the northbound lanes crashed onto the surface road, as shown in a video from the site.
There were no recent reports of injuries, according to officials.
According to Philadelphia Fire Department Capt. Derek Bowmer, emergency workers arrived just before 6:30 a.m.
On Sunday, a car or fleet of vehicles had a major fire, according to an accident report. Initial reports suggested the car could have been a tanker truck, but authorities stated it hadn’t been confirmed.

According to Bowmer, the southbound lanes were “compromised” by the heat from the fire, while the northbound lanes were completely gone.
Additionally, he said that explosions underground were being brought on by runoff from the fire or even damaged gas lines.
