Many members of an Orthodox Jewish family perished in an overnight fire in a Phoenix condominium, and several others are still in severe condition.
According to ABC 15, the incident was reported soon after 11 PM, and numerous 911 callers reported seeing significant fire and smoke coming from a townhouse close to 35th and Northern avenues.
According to authorities, a guy who appeared to be in his forties was removed by firefighters who are also qualified paramedics and taken outside, where advanced life support procedures were started.
Firefighters also extricated four youngsters in respiratory arrest from the townhouse.
The fatalities were confirmed as being members of the Boyer family by Twitter user Rabbi Pesach Lattin.
All four children, who vary in age from five to twelve, were rushed to local hospitals, where two of them later died from injuries.
The father was pronounced dead at the site.
Rabbi Lattin wrote, “I never expected to be burying a full family this week. “Please keep your loved ones close by and thank Hashem for every moment we have to live and love in this world.
There is so much hate in the world but also so much beauty. Perhaps these tiny Neshamas I am bidding farewell to tomorrow will make Aliyah.
Tamar Tzadika bas Yael Miriam and Shevach Tzion Yisroel ben Yael Miriam, who are both patients at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, are the subjects of Rabbi Lattin’s prayer request.
