Two people who are suspected of stealing a pocketbook from a Toys4U shopping cart last Friday were detained Wednesday as a result of a thorough investigation by Boro Park Shomrim, according to the Boro Park Scoop.
Shomrim volunteers sprang into action when the pocketbook vanished, following up on leads and poring over hours of CCTV to find and identify the suspects. Shomrim laboriously located the license plate details of a car they had been seen approaching.
On Wednesday, an eagle-eyed Shomrim members located both suspects in the identified vehicle and called them in to headquarters, which promptly contacted the NYPD.
As a result, both individuals were taken into custody at 20th Avenue and 50th Street.
