Police in Lakewood handcuffed and detained a Hatzolah member who was allegedly flashing a gun.

A seemingly irate driver allegedly called the police on Friday, just before Shabbos, and reported that the volunteer had flashed a gun while responding to an emergency call.

The driver of the emergency vehicle, who refused to yield to the Hatzolah volunteer’s emergency vehicle, called the police and made a false report that the volunteer had pointed a gun out the window of his car while he was on his way to an urgent call in Toms River.

The motorist then followed the Hatzolah member to the scene of the accident and gave the police his whereabouts.

The Police handcuffed the Hatzolah member, as he was attempting to leave the area, and searched his car.

There was no weapon to be found. He reportedly does possess a gun, which the authorities later recovered inside his house legally and safely, according to einem Story. Just before the start of Shabbat, he was freed from detention.
