The gunshots that broke out on Tuesday, according to police officials, was a gang-related event.
The Monticello Village is home to the shootings, which happened close to the high school. A man driving on Forestburgh Road allegedly pulled over, got out, and started shooting at people who were standing on the shoulder of the northbound lane, according to the village police.
At the location, several shell casings were found. Despite several people walking along the road at the time, the shooter did not specifically target the Jewish Community, according to the Police. Police declined to disclose whether anyone was hurt.
