Facebook has removed pro-Israel blogger David Lange without justification.
Lange maintains the “Israelly Cool” website and social media profiles.
Facebook first shut down his personal and commercial accounts (the “Israelly Cool” Page) but later reinstated his business account.
He can still not view many stored images and other valuable information because he is still locked out of his page.
Mr. Lange tweeted on Thursday that his Facebook account and the Israellycool Facebook page, which had over 22,000 followers, had been deleted.
I have received a request without any further information. I believe an antisemite reported the page.
I will lose everything if this appeal fails.
Later that day, he wrote on his Facebook page: “Update: Facebook just emailed me to say that they had restored the Israellycool Facebook page.
But the same alarming notice is still shown, locking me out of my account.
Facebook did not explain its decision to restrict his accounts, which made the situation more unpleasant. Mr. Lange conjectured that he was reported to the social media behemoth by the antisemite he earlier “outed” as payback.
A fervent admirer of Israel, Lange uses his posts to denounce antisemites and other people who wish to defame Jews and Israel.
