Antisemitic incidents in London have recently skyrocketed, with the latest vicious attack wherein a pregnant Jewish woman was blocked from getting out of a bus.

According to the Shomrim, the incident took place on February 16, and involved a vicious thug who yelled, “Don’t get off the bus ****** Jew.” The victim was reportedly left traumatized by the incident, which took place on a 253 bus at 15:15.

This attack has followed a series of incidents in London over the past few weeks. Earlier this year, two strictly Orthodox men had to be treated in hospital after being punched to the ground on the eve of Holocaust Memorial Day – an assault that was caught on camera in chilling CCTV footage.  In the same week, another Charedi man was assaulted, an Orthodox boy was spat at, and a mob screamed at shul-goers: “Yiddos go home.”

In a separate incident, a Charedi woman was videotaped pushing a carriage with one child in it and another standing on the back, then swerving out of the way of three oncoming men. The man allegedly yelled, “We don’t want Jews here, heil Hitler,” then raised his right arm in a Nazi salute.

In a comment regarding the spate of antisemitic incidents, Rabbi Herschel Gluck, president of Stamford Hill Shomrim said that in most cases, the police response was either too slow or non-existent. He added: “The police don’t feel motivated to take these cases seriously.”
