
Victoria’s Secret on Thursday confirmed that they have tapped Puerto Rican model Sofía Jirau as their newest model.
The widely popular fashion brand is happy and thrilled to have Jirau, 24 as one of its models.
“We are thrilled to have Sofia featured in the Love Cloud campaign,” which is the first collection under the company’s new head creative director, Raúl Martinez said in a statement.
“From the cast of incredible women that bring the collection to life, to the incredible inclusive spirit on set, this campaign is an important part of the new Victoria’s Secret standard we are creating,” Martinez added.
Martinez added that “Victoria’s Secret is committed to welcoming, celebrating and being there for all women. This campaign was brought to life with an incredible cast of inspiring women with unique backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and stories.”
Jirau for her part is very happy to make history as the first Victoria’s Secret model with down syndrome.
“Thank you Victoria’s Secret for seeing me as a model who has #NoLimits and making me part of the inclusive Love Cloud Collection campaign,” Jirau wrote in her Instagram account.
Sources said Jirau began modeling in Puerto Rico in March 2019.
