Vladimir Putin shockingly claimed in a television interview on Tuesday that Jewish Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had been appointed by Western powers to hide the exaltation of Nazism.
He continued by saying that they were hiding Ukraine’s “anti-human essence.”
“Western curators have installed an ethnic Jew with Jewish origins and roots at the helm of modern Ukraine. And as a result, in my opinion, they appear to be hiding an anti-human essence that serves as the cornerstone of the contemporary Ukrainian state,” Putin told a Russian reporter.
And this makes the entire situation even more disgusting because a Jew is hiding the glorification of Nazism and the people who once oversaw the Holocaust in Ukraine, which resulted in the death of 1.5 million people.
Mykhailo Podolyak, a presidential advisor for Ukraine, responded that it was shameful for Putin “when he attempts to justify mass crimes against citizens of another country with a monstrous lie.”
Putin’s invasion is being justified by what he claims to be Ukraine’s support of Nazism. Zelensky, a Russian speaker by birth who was democratically elected in 2019, has claimed that some of his grandfather’s brothers perished in the Holocaust and has repeatedly refuted Russian claims that he has aided neo-Nazis in Ukraine.
