Rabbi Leo Dee has denounced CNN’s “horror journalism” and is requesting an apology after tragically losing his wife and two daughters (HY”D) in a Pesach terror assault.
In reaction to leftist broadcaster Christine Amanpour, who egregiously referred to the attack as a “shootout” and equated both sides when in actuality, three innocent victims were brutally singled out and shot to death simply for being Jewish, Rabbi Dee made the following remarks.
“This is the perfect example of ‘terror journalism,’ where you have moral equivalence between the terrorist and victim,” Rabbi Dee reportedly remarked in a tweet from “Honest Reporting.”
“This kind of journalism prolongs the Middle Eastern conflict,” he continued. A statement like this, followed by a terrorist attack and more of the same, represents the proper cycle of violence.
“I demand an apology right away.”
Ben Shapiro, a host of an orthodox Jewish podcast, attacked Amanpour on Thursday. “Amanpour has always been an anti-Israel propagandist,” Shapiro noted in a tweet along with the video. Simply said, this is the worst-case scenario.
Rabbi Dee criticized CNN in April after reporter Christina Macfarlane compared the murder of his family to Israeli self-defense actions against Palestinians.
It's been five days since we called on @amanpour to apologize for saying the Dee family were "killed in a shootout."
Neither she nor @CNN has responded.
Now, Rabbi Leo Dee has joined the demand: it's time for Christiane Amanpour to apologize immediately. https://t.co/8a6z5IRJ4p pic.twitter.com/HzpH4VNFVE
